Mom Knows Best
My mother told me how to get my ex back. Hopefully, we can make it work this time. We married young and had three kids soon afterward. It was a struggle initially and we stopped communicating, unless it was related to the children. The problems started after our youngest child went off to college. We didn’t have anything to say to each other. We realized that we did not know each other very well. Initially he left, but came back after I followed my mother’s advice. We agreed that divorce was not an option and admitted that we allowed raising our children to become a wedge between our intimacy. Now, we are each other’s best friends and enjoy each day.
Can someone please tell me how to get my ex back?! I have tried everything under the sun: begging, pleading, repeated telephone calls. Nothing is working. A girlfriend gave me this booklet with tips on surviving a break up. A break up? I want to know how we can get back together! As I began to read, the book shared some eye-opening advice for me. It talked about not calling, begging and pleading for your ex to get back with you. Those were the things I had been doing. It also stated that I should value the time I have alone now, and not rush into another relationship. I guess in some ways, this book gives good advice.
